Les Choses Sérieuses is a characterful red wine from Domaine In Ventis, an independent family winery located in Rabastens, within the AOP Gaillac wine region of Southwest France.
Made entirely from Braucol, one of Gaillac’s emblematic local grape varieties, this wine combines concentration and structure with the distinctive personality of its terroir.
After maceration in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in 400-liter oak barrels, including 25% new oak. The result is a powerful and structured red wine, with subtle oak influence and good ageing potential.
Les Choses Sérieuses has a concentrated red colour and a delicate nose marked by subtle oak notes.
On the palate, it is tannic, structured and powerful, expressing the distinctive character of Braucol and its potential for ageing.
The barrel ageing brings additional depth without hiding the personality of the grape, making this a particularly interesting wine for those who want to discover a more serious expression of Gaillac.
Braucol is one of the traditional grape varieties associated with Gaillac. It can produce deeply coloured, structured red wines with a distinctive personality and good ageing potential.
Les Choses Sérieuses offers an excellent way to discover this lesser-known side of French wine through a grape variety closely connected to its region of origin.
