La Farga Catar – Unique pieces, hand-forged in medieval tradition
La Farga Catar creations are 100% handmade in France using 13th-century forging techniques.
Every item is individually crafted by blacksmith Bruno Arias, who revives medieval craftsmanship using only fire, hammer, and an anvil. Except for the sharpening, no modern machines are involved in the process — each piece is shaped by hand, through hours of labor and dedication.
The materials used are entirely recycled: old car suspension springs, cart blades, scrap iron, reclaimed wood, and natural horn. These elements, once discarded, are given new life with purpose and character. Every knife, fork, pick, or tool becomes a functional object — and a story forged in steel.
This ancestral process results in raw, authentic pieces that carry the imprint of fire and hand. No two creations are ever alike: twisted handles, hammered finishes, sculpted wood or bone… each one is truly unique. Slight imperfections are part of their charm — they reflect the soul of the forge and the hand of the artisan.
La Farga Catar is more than a workshop — it’s a philosophy. Nothing is wasted, everything is reused. This fully eco-conscious approach celebrates simplicity, resilience, and respect for materials.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a reenactment participant, a lover of authentic craft, or someone who appreciates meaningful, sustainable objects, these pieces speak to you.
More than utensils or tools, these are talismans forged with intention.
They are rooted in time, shaped by skill, and made to last — in use or as heirlooms. From everyday utility to symbolic presence, La Farga Catar pieces reconnect us to something older, deeper, and real.
