La Farga Catar creations are entirely handmade in France using traditional forging techniques inspired by the 13th century.
Each piece is individually crafted by blacksmith Bruno Arias, who keeps medieval craftsmanship alive through the use of fire, hammer, and anvil. Aside from sharpening, no modern machines are used in the process — every knife, fork, tool, or decorative object is shaped slowly by hand through hours of work and dedication.
Bruno’s workshop is more than a forge: it is a living space of historical craftsmanship, where traditional techniques, ancient tools, and forgotten knowledge continue to exist through daily practice.
Recycled Materials, Unique Pieces
The materials used by La Farga Catar are entirely reclaimed and recycled:
- old suspension springs,
- cart blades,
- scrap iron,
- reclaimed wood,
- and natural horn.
Objects once abandoned are transformed into creations full of purpose, texture, and character.
No two pieces are ever identical. Twisted handles, hammered finishes, sculpted wood or bone, marks left by fire and hand — every detail reflects the artisan behind the forge. Small imperfections are not flaws, but part of the authenticity and soul of each creation.
